Leslie J. Garrison

Law Firm Partner

My intention as a family law practitioner is to provide support and direction to individuals and couples as they move through a family transition. I believe that most couples have the potential to resolve conflict outside the courtroom.

I have been practicing law since 1988. I started my career as a King County public defender. I handled hundreds of cases both criminal and civil. Trial was the traditional way to resolve a case and in some cases, that was the best process. I excelled in the courtroom and felt the thrill of winning. That changed when I started to doing family law and I have seen the level of emotional and financial damage litigation can have on families.

In 2007 I developed my passion for mediation and collaboration. In 2011 Andrew Schwarz and I teamed up and I now handle exclusively family law matters. My goal is to help you find a process and a resolution that is best for you and your situation.

As your mediator or your lawyer, I work for you. My job is to be creative, supportive and empowering so that you can make important decisions for yourself and your family.
